Heli is a graduate from Edith Cowan University with a Masters of Social Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy, she has always shared a passion for helping people which has lead her to pursue a career in Counselling.

With over a decade of counselling experience, Heli has gained extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Play Therapy and Parenting support
  • Family Therapy
  • Alcohol and other drug counselling
  • Domestic and Family violence
  • General Counselling
  • Psychotherapy

Heli adopts a warm and trauma informed approach to her work. Heli’s life and work experiences have allowed her to excel in her field as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist and allows her to connect and support her clients on a personal level, providing them with professional guidance.

For the past six years, Heli has supported people in crisis as a First- response Counsellor with 1800Respect, while also working as a Play Therapist at a women’s refuge home, helping children and families heal in safe environments.

Currently Heli is working as a Specialist Trauma Counsellor with 1800Respect and as a Play Therapist.


As a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) the professional association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Australia, the counselling services provided by Heli adheres to the ethical code of conduct.
Heli has completed advanced clinical training as a Child Centered Play Therapist with Play Therapy Australia, Australia’s leading professional training organisation.
